Moonlight Drawn by Clouds (구르미 그린 달빛) is about a Crown Prince falling in love with his eunuch, who turns out, wasn’t castrated at all. Because he is actually a she. Watching her dodge the physical exams is half the fun. The other half, of course, is the lovey-dovey, tearful, angst of falling for someone they shouldn’t.
Raise your hand if you thought Park Bo Gum is awesome as the Crown Prince. The man got every emotion on the human spectrum down packed. He even managed to squeeze in micro-expressions, the ones that you’ll miss if you blink but provide the nuance to make a scene pop. Like the look of triumph before his empathy mode. Or, the subtle display of loathing.
Micro-expression aside, it’s the interactions between the characters that truly make the drama stand out. Here are the top scenes that touch me; whether they tickle my funny bones, tug my heartstrings, or flame my indignation.
